The Marion Message

Hosea 8 reminds us that whatever we sow, we will also reap. Israel planted rebellion and reaped judgment, and the same principle applies in our lives today. Pastor Hank urges us to look honestly at the seeds we’re planting—our choices, habits, and priorities—and consider the harvest they will produce. This message is a call to repentance and faithfulness, so that what grows in our field brings glory to God.

This week, we are reminded that every human being is created in the image of God and therefore holds immeasurable worth. In light of recent events, Pastor Hank also addressed the heartbreaking realities of abortion, suicide, and the devaluing of life in our culture. Yet the heart of his message was this: your life is precious to God. No matter your past, your struggles, or your pain, you are fearfully and wonderfully made, and your life has eternal purpose.

Pastor Hank unpacks God’s heart for His people to come back to Him. Even in judgment, the Lord extends mercy and calls His people to true repentance, not empty rituals. This chapter reminds us that God desires steadfast love more than sacrifice and knowledge of Him more than burnt offerings. Discover what real returning to the Lord looks like and how His grace restores those who humble themselves before Him.

This week's sermon warns of the dangers of turning from God’s Word while calling us to remain steadfast in truth, mercy, and the knowledge of Him.

In this message, Bruce Crouterfield preaches from Ezra 7:9-10 on How to Seek God’s Favor. He unpacks Ezra’s devotion to God’s Word, his obedience, and his desire to teach others, showing us how we too can live in a way that pleases the Lord.

This week, our service was a special time of communion, worship, and reading God’s Word together. Because there was no sermon, we are sharing an earlier message from Pastor Hank for you to be encouraged by.
